FAQ
FAQs
Wheels are faster on hard standing, cheaper to run, and cheaper to repair. Tracks spread weight and hold gradient on soft, wet, or loose ground. The deciding question is not the machine, it is whether the site has a finished surface. TerraCub carries both, from the wheeled S360 through to the tracked V2000.
A mini skid steer such as the S360 is sized to pass gates and work inside a back garden. A compact track loader such as the C1200 or V1000 is a full-site machine that carries more, lifts higher, and runs high-flow attachments. They serve different jobs, not different budgets.
Stand-on units like the T460 and T470 suit work with frequent dismounts, such as landscaping and fencing, where the operator is on and off the machine every few minutes. On a full day of continuous loading, a seated cab is less fatiguing.
It does in cold and wet climates, and increasingly for dust and noise compliance on commercial sites. The 25 and S55 are enclosed wheel loader formats for exactly those markets.
Attachment interchange depends on the coupler standard and, more importantly, on hydraulic flow. A breaker or a cold planer needs flow that a mini machine cannot supply. Confirm the flow rating against the attachment before ordering, not after.
Surface conditions, required rated load, operator format preference, the attachments to be run and their flow requirement, quantity, and whether the buyer is planning for resale, fleet, or project use.
