FAQ
FAQs
The Compact 500 and Lift 500 share a 700 mm chassis width, which clears a standard residential gate and most side passages. This is the figure that decides whether the machine can reach the work, and it is the first thing to check before payload.
A high-tip machine such as the Lift 500 raises the bucket on a scissor lift to 1,200 mm before discharging, so it can empty over a skip wall, into a mixer, or above formwork. If the receiving edge sits above knee height, a standard dumper cannot do the job.
The PIVOT 1200 rotates the bucket 180 degrees, so it discharges to either side without turning the machine. In a trench corridor or between building lines where there is no room to swing the chassis around, that is the difference between one pass and three.
Most garden and narrow-access work is served by the 500 kg class, because gate width limits the machine long before payload does. The 1,000 kg Lift 1000 and 1,200 kg PIVOT 1200 are for open sites where trips per hour, not access, is the constraint.
On soft ground, freshly backfilled trenches, and lawns, tracks spread the load and leave less damage. On hard standing, wheels are faster and cheaper to maintain. Every TerraCub dumper in this category is tracked, because narrow-access work is almost always on unfinished ground.
Access width, then dump mechanism, then payload and lift height, and finally whether the machine is being sourced for direct use, resale, rental, or OEM discussion.
